Late night dodgeball has proven to be a hit at Roanoke College in Virginia. Every Friday night (or rather, Saturday morning) from midnight until about 3am, students gather to play.
The Roanoke Times reports the dodgeball club started about five years ago. Many students find the late night playing to be a good alterative to partying.
“I don’t drink. I don’t smoke,” said Harvey Porter, an organizer and college junior. “It’s Friday. It’s 12. I want to have fun.”

Big Kids Dodgeball is back with another monthly tournament in Boston next weekend.
Teams of seven will play four rounds of dodgeball before heading into the playoffs. And they say there will be “awesome prizes” for 1st place.
So get out there all you Beantowners, and play some dodgeball.

I guess that blog entry title is more for me. It’s been awhile since I posted, and it’s also been awhile since I played dodgeball. I just started up again Monday night and it’s great to be playing again, although my elbow is a little sore now. My team The Soviet Super Soldiers had a solid win and I hope we can keep it up. Our team is pretty tight. I took the summer off playing this year, and in turn, I guess I took the summer off blogging too. I’ve missed it, and I’m back, so please send me all your dodgeball news, league and tournament announcements, or just say hi, here.
Thanks for reading and happy dodgeball!
